Abstract [sv]

Kapitlet utforskar hur ekologisk hållbarhet och ekokritisk agens synliggörs i norska, svenska och finländska läroplaner för grundskolan. Studien visar att begreppet hållbarhet är tämligen vagt omskrivet i de svenska och finländska läroplanerna. Gemensamt för alla läroplaner är att lärarnas agens är närmast bortskriven. Eleverna, däremot, förväntas lära sig och agera utifrån nyvunna insikter. De förväntasdärmed inte bara förstå, utan också delta i samhällsdebatten om hållbarhetsteman.

Abstract [en]

The chapter investigates how ecological sustainability and ecocriticalagency are made explicit in Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish curricula for primaryand lower secondary school. The study shows that the concept of sustainability isvaguely dealt with in the Swedish and Finnish curricula. What all the curricula have incommon is that the teachers’ agency is omitted. The pupils, on the other hand, areexpected to learn and act according to their newly acquired knowledge. They are hence expected not just to understand, but also to participate in public debates onsustainability.
