Like a bolt from the skies : A scientific essay on pedagogues attitudes towards children who have an acting out behavior in preschool (English)
Abstract [sv]
Abstract [en]
During my twenty years working as a pre-school pedagogue, there has always been children that more or less has had the needs for special support. This scientific essay will enlighten the complex of problems coming with children acting out, the children dares, and often winds up in psysical conflicts. Children which by the surroundings is judged to be fussy, noisy and stubborn.
We all carry different approach towards children. Through our different approaches we set our framework of the children we see as normal, but at the same time the opposite, who becomes the divergent. How does the pedagogues different attitude and approach affect the child’s pre-school time? How are they affected by their surroundings?
With more deep knowledge of the possible underlying factors to these children’s behaviours, I would like to gain my own and others comprehension. Knowledge and comprehension says to be the key to empathy. With an empathetic view, we are able to achieve help for the children to understand their own being. To include children with special needs in the pre-scools groups community, often is about to shift the complex of problems for these children, and instead undergo changes in organisation and adjust the activities to this children’s needs.
Pedagouges that reflects on their negative feelings against these children that they find acting out, and instead critically questions the underlying reason and motive, has taken the first step, that hopefully lead them to the path of being motivated to design an including pre-school environment where all children grow with the feeling of succeeding.
