    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of the paper is to investigate how different religious groups such as Muslims and Christians are presented in the digital magazine Samtiden. Furthermore, the purpose is to investigate whether and how different religions differ in their presentation and whether there is a clear agenda related to emerging beliefs. 

    The actual selection I chose to start from is the year 2018 where articles in relation to my keywords and delimitations have been shown. They have then been analyzed through a qualitative text analysis with the ambition to be able to answer my questions and the purpose of investigating how different religious groups such as Muslims and Christians are portrayed in the digital magazine Samtiden. By starting from my theoretical starting points about postcolonial theory, anti-emigration, post-secular theory and gender perspective, I, along with methodological approaches, have got tools to be able to analyze the material in a successful way. 

    My results show how the representation of religions is manifested and what distinguishes them from where it appears that stereotypical categorizations such as Muslims are cruel, violent and perceived as a threat while Christians appear to be victims of Muslim aggression. The Christian and "Swedish" appear to be intertwined and constitute "we" while Muslims are portrayed as "them".

    Föreliggande uppsats har i syfte att lista de argument som presenterats av partipolitiker i debattartiklar där de debatterat för eller emot religiösa friskolor efter Socialdemokraternas uttalande om att förbjuda religiösa friskolor den 13 mars 2018. Undersökningen avgränsas till debattartiklar skrivna av partipolitiker under perioden 13 mars 2018 fram till den 24 april 2018 och med hjälp av sannolikhetsurval avgränsas analysen till totalt fyra debattartiklar, två för- respektive emot religiösa friskolor. Tesen och argumenten i varje artikel identifieras och argumenten kategoriseras sedan med hjälp av argumentationsanalys och verktyget pro et contra som pro(för)-argument med uppgift att stärka den identifierade tesen, eller contra(mot)-argument med uppgift att undergräva tesen. Argumenten analyseras sedan för att avgöra hur hög beviskraft de har baserat på graden av tilltro till argumenten (hållbarhet) och hur väl argumenten relaterar till bestämda ståndpunkter/teser i debatten (relevans). Detta för att på ett objektivt sätt analysera en del av debatten som pågått efter Socialdemokraternas uttalande för att avgöra vilka argument som har högst beviskraft samt om dessa argument används för att debattera för- eller emot religiösa friskolor.

    Med intertextualitet som teoretisk utgångspunkt har argumenten i artiklarna ställts mot varandra och resultatet av analysen visar att samtliga argument i alla fyra debattartiklar brister i sin beviskraft då de för olika anledningar inte är hållbara eller relevanta. Analysen visar på att det finns flera argument både för och emot religiösa friskolor som går ihop, för att sen gå isär. Analysen visar också att debatten om religiösa friskolors plats i det svenska samhället har olika åsikter och är en debatt som är värd att debatteras, dock görs bedömningen att det i den fortsatta debatten behövs argument med högre beviskraft för att argumenten ska vara hållbara och relevanta och kunna påverka debatten.

    I have studied my research with the help of a qualitative method of data collection that I have analyzed with the phenomenographic approach; the purpose was to investigate how teachers experience the influence of secularization in religious education. The interviewed teachers perceive that the students previously had a reasonable knowledge of what Christianity was, but that this knowledge have disappeared because of secularization. This has caused complications in religious education for both students and teachers. Among other things is the absence of a religious identity the reason for a division between non-believers and believers, there is a greater relationship between the students who have a religious background than those who do not have a religious background. There is a greater interest in the teaching of Christianity today among pupils than it was earlier in the 1980-90 century because the secularization has made Christianity as exotic as other religions, students know as much about Christianity as other religions.
