    Abstract [en]

    The popularity for project as a way of organizing has dramatically increased the last decades. Despite it’s popularity a lot of projects still fail. Earlier research has focused on tools and projects as an isolated entity. More empirical data and theoretical views are necessary to increase the understanding about project as a phenomenon. The purpose of this study is to examine from the project managers point of view, what conditions project, project managers and teams get from the organization. Furthermore, the study aims to understand how dysfunctions in team manifest and how they are handled.

    The study is based on a qualitative approach. Data has been gathered using sex semi-structured interviews in five different organizations and industries. All respondents are project managers with at least five years of experience managing IT-projects. A review of earlier research and databases with articles was the foundation on what the theory and analysis is based upon. Theories and concepts that’s been used are: Temporary and permanent organization, Project lifecycle, the project triangle and Team

    The study shows that clarification in different forms, like project specification, goals, anchoring, communication and contracts, is a condition that the organization gives project, project managers and teams. Another condition from the organization is the allocation of resources, which creates problems and dysfunctions like fragmented groups, increased complexity, erosion of resources, lack of quality and trust within teams, and then becomes the project manager responsibility to manage. By protecting team from external stakeholders, create good cohesion and forums of communication, project managers tries to give good conditions to the team to finish the project.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this paper is to understand how different fractions of Sweden’s left wing (the Social democrats, the Communists, the Syndicalists and the Socialist party) framed the end of the Spanish Civil War and the defeat of the republicans.

    To answer the purpose four newspapers Arbetaren (syndicalist), Folkets Dagblad (Socialist party), Ny Dag (communist) and Socialdemokraten (social democratic) have been analyzed qualitatively. The thesis has focused on how the different ideologies have framed the war, how they framed the other labour organizations and themselves plus how they relate to information about the war during the period of February 1st1939 till April 5th1939.

    The analysis shows that the Social democrats and the Communists framed the war as a conflict between fascism and socialism, whereas the Syndicalists and the Socialist party framed the war as a socialistic revolution. Because each side had their own view, their opinions on what threatened a republican victory differed. The Social democrats were most concerned that a non-democratic movement would win the war and the Communists feared that fragmentation within the republicans would threaten their chances to win. In contrast, the Syndicalists argued that the nonintervention policy would make the revolution impossible and the Socialist party framed the threat as the Communists, because of their non-revolutionary agenda.

    I takt med att dagens marknader förändras i allt snabbare takt har det blivit allt viktigare för företag att anpassa sig till förändringarna i syfte att behålla sin position.

    Ett ökat fokus på immateriella värden, i detta fall företags varumärke, har fått en allt större betydelse och många organisationers främsta prioritering de senaste 10 åren. Detta har i synnerhet blivit viktigt för tjänsteföretag då de saknar fysiska produkter men även för snabbväxande företag då detta beskrivs som en förutsättning för tillväxt.

     

    Det beskrivs att det första steget till skapandet av ett starkt varumärke är en stark varumärkeskultur inom organisationen. Forskning gällande ett företags varumärke med ett ökat fokus på interna aspekter har gett upphov till begreppen internt varumärke och arbetsgivarvarumärke. Då tidigare forskning många gånger behandlat dessa begrepp separat ämnar denna studie att ge en ökad förståelse för hur ett företags interna varumärke och arbetsgivarvarumärke samverkar samt påverkar företagets varumärke.

     

    Denna studie undersöker hur medarbetare och ledningsgrupp på ett digitalt kommunikationsbolag upplever företagets interna varumärke och arbetsgivarvarumärke. Studien har ett kvalitativt angreppssätt och den insamlade empirin är baserad på 8 semistrukturerade intervjuer där 3 representerar ledningsgruppen och 5 representerar medarbetarna. Genom en deduktiv forskningsansats relateras teori och empiri i studiens analys.

     

    Studiens resultat visar att ett snabbväxande företag inte endast kan fokusera på tillväxt i sina strategier utan måste även ta hänsyn till de interna frågorna samt hur de uppfattas som arbetsgivare. Detta kan uppnås genom att underhålla och utveckla det interna varumärket och arbetsgivarvarumärket i syfte att uppnå en hållbar och långsiktig tillväxt där de interna frågorna inte blir lidande.

    Abstract [en]

    That the Lisbon Treaty lays the foundation for a supranational asylum and immigration policyis surprising, even more so for Liberal Intergovernmentalism (LI), whose founder AndrewMoravcsik predicts that no such development will take place. While the article uses LI as its pointof departure, it shows that it runs into problems with regards to the policy area of asylum andimmigration. The article therefore turns to the (neo-)functionalist concept of spillover. Whileworking with the concept, it was deemed necessary to create a more coherent typology ofdifferent spillovers. The article suggests that the concept of spillover may be both descriptiveand explanatory. With regards to descriptive spillover, it seems valuable to differentiate betweenwidening and deepening spillovers, but concerning explanatory spillovers, more options becamevisible: there are unintended or intended functional spillovers, as well as unintended political,cultivated and social spillovers. The argument is illustrated through a detailed study of Sweden – a‘reluctant European’ that within the area of asylum and immigration made a fundamental U-turnwith regards to a supranationalism, a change that can be described as a social spillover.

    Abstract [en]

    Introduction: The study concerns small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the automotive industry. The context is touched because the research front lacks empirical examples of the relationship between different inbound open innovation activities and innovation performance. The phenomenon of inbound open innovation means that companies, through different collaborative activities, exploit external flows of knowledge and technology to promote the emergence of new products and processes. Consequently the study investigates the relationship between innovation performance and the activities; (1) technological scouting, (2) vertical technological collaboration, (3) horizontal technological collaboration, (4) technological acquisition.

     

    Purpose: The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between four forms of inbound open innovation activities and innovation performance in small and medium-sized enterprises, in the automotive industry. The insights from the study aims to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs in a globalized market. The study also aims to promote the overall picture of the impact of different inbound open innovation activities in practice.

     

    Theory: The study is based on previous research and theories regarding inbound open innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

     

    Method: The study is conducted through a quantitative methodology. A self-administered questionnaire has been distributed by mail to 370 CEOs. The collected data has been processed in SPSS through different statistical tests, which resulted in the study's four hypotheses being tested and investigated.

     

    Conclusion: The studies result shows that SMEs in the automotive industry can improve their innovation performance by conducting the activities of technological scouting, vertical technological collaboration and horizontal technological collaboration. Technological acquisition was found to have no significant impact on innovation performance. The findings can promote the competitiveness of SMEs in a globalized market. The insights also promote the overall picture of the impact of different inbound open innovation activities in practice.

    Tvodden – framtidens resurssnåla tv-format?: En kvalitativ studie över SVT:s anpassning till det digitala skiftet2015Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis

    Under de senaste åren har svenska folkets medievanor ändrats. Det har skett ett digitalt skifte och det har blivit allt vanligare att titta på tv via webben istället för att ta del av den linjära tv-tablån. Syftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på hur SVT anpassar sig till den nya mediesituationen. För att ta reda på detta har vi gjort en fallstudie över SVT:s tvoddar. En tvodd är en tv-sänd podcast och ett nytt format som SVT har utvecklat där en eller två programledare diskuterar ett utvalt ämne med varandra eller med inbjudna gäster. Med en kvalitativ riktad innehållsanalys på sju tvoddar har vi undersökt innehållet kopplat till teorier om kommersialisering, kvalitet och värdeskapande i medier. Utöver denna innehållsanalys har vi också gjort åtta kvalitativa intervjuer med programledare för tvoddarna och personal inom SVT:s organisation. Intervjuerna har fokuserat på drivkrafterna bakom utformandet av tvoddarna, samt vilken roll tvoddarna spelar i SVT:s satsning på framtiden.

    Resultatet av innehållsanalysen visar att tvoddarna innehåller inslag av personifiering och trivialisering. Produktionen av tvoddarna kännetecknas av spontanitet och en vilja att experimentera med teknik och format. Tvoddarna produceras i SVT:s minsta studio med robotstyrda kameror och endast en sändningsproducent som sköter all teknik. I förhållande till dessa förutsättningar håller tvoddarna en hög teknisk nivå, men ibland märks det av i klippning och kameraval att det är få personer bakom kameran. De främsta drivkrafterna vid utformandet av nya format för SVT är att utforska nya tekniska möjligheter, anpassa sig efter det nya medielandskapet, producera kostnadseffektiv tv och att distribuera programmen på digitala plattformar.

    Svenska fonders investeringsstrategier och prestation: En kvantitativ studie om hur fondens tillämpning av SRI och ESG-integrering påverkar den riskjusterade avkastningen2019Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

    The interest for sustainable funds have increased recently. ESG has become a part of companies everyday life and SRI a part of the investment strategies used by equity funds. In lack of research in the field of mutual equity funds, we choose to investigate how investment strategies in “social responsible investment” (SRI) affect the risk-adjusted return. The study investigated 51 equity funds between 2014 and 2019 that had been reporting their sustainability strategies in the so called “hållbarhetsprofilen”. From this information portfolios were constructed based on the funds strategic work in comparison to conventional funds counterparts. Carhart fourfactor model were used to calculate the risk-adjusted return, the sharpe ratio to determine return in relation to the another measure of risk and the strandarddevation to calculate the total risk in each portfolio. The study concluded that all swedish equity funds worked with combinations of several SRI strategies to implement sustainable investment. In line with previous research our results show that funds managed with a strategy of low rate exclusion show a higher risk-adjusted return compared to strategys with higher exclusion rates. The conclusion though, after statistical testing was that the results could not be proven significant between the two groups of SRI-funds, meaning that we could not prove any difference in risk-adjusted returns between the groups. Further the results showed that the total risk-exposure between SRI and conventional equity funds, due to reduced diversification was not higher in SRI funds in comparison with their conventional peers. Nor did we find any evidence for ESG-integration to dampen total risk during the time for investigation.

    Abstract [en]

    Background and research issue: Although human capital is often regarded as an asset, it cannot be included in the balance sheet. Instead, companies may voluntarily present information about their personal in other parts of their annual reports. What type of information, and how it should be reported, is up to the companies to determine themselves. However, research in recent years has shown that companies have ceased to present information about human capital, and that it was only a trend that has now been replaced with other trends. In addition, research shows that reporting has been illogical, and the reporting by the companies differs year to year. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to contribute to an increased understanding if the reporting of human capital differs between companies from different sectors. We want to give a picture if and how different types of companies report human capital. This is for a better understanding if human capital appears to be an important element in the companies accounting, also whether it is prioritized differently depending on which sector they belong to. Method: A total survey of small cap companies from the three sectors industry, technology and healthcare at Nasdaq OMX Stockholm. The measuring instrument disclosure index was used in analyzing and collecting data from the companies’ annual reports. The index was divided into 6 different categories, and was based on a previous index made by Bukh et al (2005), as well as a separate preliminary study. Empiricism: Here gives a deeper insight into the concept of human capital and intellectual capital. In addition, a historical recital from the 1960s to today is presented regarding research and the accounting of human capital. Furthermore, different motives are presented to show why companies choose to present human capital. Conclusion: The outcome of the study showed that there were no direct differences between the sectors. There were more similarities than differences between the sectors regarding how they report human capital. No differences were found regarding the amount of disclosure, and only a few differences was found regarding the type of information disclosed. This result was unexpected, as there were no clear differences in the reporting between each sector. Furthermore, there were large variations in the amount of disclosure between the companies in each sector. The sector with the largest average amount disclosure was the Technology sector. The Healthcare sector came after, and the Industry sector reported least. Regarding what type of information they presented, the Technology sector mainly reported information about different employee distributions. The Industry and Healthcare sector mainly presented information about staff development and motivation.

    The effects of the EU-Mexico Free Trade Agreement on trade flows2018Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

    This bachelor thesis examines the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Mexico and the countries that resembles the European Union(EU) prior to the expansion in 2004, hereafter(EU15). The purpose is to analyze the effects of the FTA between the trading parties and investigate whether the FTA has resulted in positive effects on export volumes. The model includes 16 countries and is estimated with panel data between the years 1997-2016. We apply a gravity model as econometric framework and perform two regressions, one with fixed effects and one with random effects. Our results suggest that export volumes from Mexico to the EU on an aggregated level have increased for Mexico and the EU has increased. However, in contrast to previous estimates, our results show that the FTA have generated negative effects on trade creation between the trading parties.

    Abstract [en]

    This Bachelor thesis examines the employee benefits accounting IAS 19 on market share prices for companies listed on OMX30. The purpose is to analyze the effect of IAS 19R on three absolute valuation methods, Discounted Cash Flow, Dividend Discount and Residual Income valuation models. Also, what effect salaries, wages and defined benefits obligations in firms consolidated financial statements have had a positive effect on the market share price. The models which have been used to examine the predictability in the stock price valuations in the thesis are estimated using signed and absolute prediction errors. Furthermore, to examine the effect of employee benefits, share valuation models and IAS 19 on market share price a panel data between 2009-2017 have been used. The model includes 22 listed companies on OMX30 as of the 1stof July 2009. Within the econometric framework, four regressions have been applied, all with fixed effects. The results suggest that the employee benefits accounting have no significant impact on market share prices. However, in contrast to previous research, results show that salaries and wages have a positive impact on market share price for companies listed on OMX30.

    En vanlig kritik mot kvällstidningarnas sportbevakning är att den är storstadscentrerad och att lag och idrottare från de stora städerna får mer utrymme i medierna än lag och idrottare från mindre städer. Denna studie har tagit avstamp i den kritiken och undersökt matchrapporteringen kring herrallsvenskan i fotboll. Med en kvantitativ innehållsanalys och en mindre kvalitativ innehållsanalys undersöktes 392 artiklar i de fyra kvällstidningarna Aftonbladet, Expressen, GT och KvP från säsongen 2013. De artiklar som analyserades var nyhetsartiklar kopplade till seriematcher och deras resultat. Studien visar att det finns visst stöd för tesen om storstadscentrering i kvällstidningarnas rapportering. Framförallt den kvalitativa delen av studien visar att storstadslag i större utsträckning får mer utrymme. Faktorer som kan ligga bakom storstadscentreringen är redaktionernas närhet till sin publik, kommersiella avsikter, sportsliga framgångar och förväntningar för de olika lagen.

    Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) i en internationell kontext: En studie om svenska företag i Brasilien2017Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year)), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

    The main purpose with this study is to map whether Swedish companies adapt their CSR strategies in an international context. The purpose is also to examine the coordination between headquarters and subsidiaries and also about the reasons behind the chosen strategy. The study has been carried out through a case study consisting of a triangulation of methods. The triangulation consists of quantitative content analyses and qualitative semi-structured interviews. The findings show that a majority of the Swedish companies in the study uses a global CSR strategy. Additionally, the coordination used by companies with an adaptation strategy differ from the ones used by companies with a global strategy, as expected. Finally, the findings show split opinions considering the influence of culture while choosing CSR strategy.

    A highly competitive market has forced companies to find new ways to market themselves. Using package design has proven to be a powerful tool for companies to reach out with their marketing to consumers. The package has got a major role as a last step to communicate the brand to the consumers.

    This study aims to examine and analyse what factors influence a consumer in the decision making process when choosing a packaged product in the FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) industry.

    Three focus group interviews with consumers has generated qualitative data which is presented in relation to the theoretical framework of the study. The results show that there are many factors in addition to the package that also have a bearing on what product a consumer ultimately choose. A conclusion is drawn that different factors work together to influence the consumers choice of product. However, consumers seem to be less affected by the package than by past preferences, brand and price. Overall an interaction between design and form, price, positioning and content is required to create a successful package design.

    Den 1 januari 2009 infördes Diskrimineringslagen och ersatte den tidigare Jämställdhetslagen samt upphävde övriga diskrimineringslagar som fanns för att samlas under en och samma lag. Lagen kräver att alla företag i Sverige med minst 25 anställda måste ha en jämställdhetsplan. En artikel i tidningen ETC har uppgett att bankbranschen är den minst jämlika branschen. Frågan denna studie sökt svar på är om man kan jämföra storbankers jämställdhetsarbete, och i så fall om det kan urskiljas några skillnader och/eller likheter? Detta för att bidra till en ökad förståelse för hur företag arbetar och engagerar sig i jämställdhet.

    Frågan besvaras genom att granska och studera två storbankers jämställdhetsplaner och intervjua personer som har ansvaret för jämställdhetsplanerna. Tidigare forskning om jämställdhet och jämställdhetsarbete är förhållandevis nytt men växande, denna undersökning har noterat att det internationellt sett ofta forskas om jämlikhet och mångfald som en och samma fråga medan svensk forskning ofta delar upp dem. Både nationell- och internationell forskning visar dock att jämställdhetsarbete är resurskrävande men att företag kan tjäna mycket på sådana genomföranden om det görs rätt med tillräckliga resurser.

    Resultatet visar att det går att jämföra två storbankers jämställdhetsplaner och att det går att se både skillnader och likheter. Undersökningens analys visar även organisationernas ständigt pågående jämställdhetsarbete och hur det ständigt utvecklas för att förbättra organisationernas jämställdhet.

    Inledning: I Sverige finns det ett stort kommersiellt intresse för ishockey och fotboll. Man får ofta höra om goda sportsliga insatser från spelare men sällan om personerna med makt vid sidan av planen. Vi studerar Sports management och har därför intresserat oss för att undersöka en bransch som vi möjligtvis kommer arbeta inom i framtiden.

    Syfte: En verkställande direktör har rollen med mest makt och högsta befogenhet i den dagliga verksamheten i en organisation. Vd:arna har även en central roll i idrottsorganisationer. Syftet med studien var att utifrån vd:arnas egna subjektiva beskrivning undersöka hur rollen som vd ser ut och vilka olika aspekter som måste beaktas i det dagliga arbetet, samt hur och vilket ledarskap som tillämpas.

    Frågeställningar: Hur ser arbetet ut och vilka ansvarsområden finns för en vd/klubbchef inom en ishockey-/fotbollsklubb? Vilket ledarskap tillämpas av vd:arna/klubbcheferna? Vilka är de största svårigheterna och utmaningarna samt vad påverkar vd:arnas/klubbchefernas ledarskap?

    Metod: Vi har genomfört sex stycken kvalitativa semi-strukturerade intervjuer med verkställande direktörer, klubbdirektörer och klubbchefer för elitishockey- och elitfotbollsklubbar.

    Empiri och slutsats: Studien visar att det fanns en gemensam uppfattning om vad ledarskap är, och hur det utfördes av våra respondenter. Den visar även att ekonomin har en påverkan på ledarskapet och var en central del i vd/klubbchefernas arbetsuppgifter. Att få ekonomin att gå runt var den klart största utmaningen som alla klubbar dagligen mötte.

    Krav på revision blev inskrivet i den svenska lagen år 1895 där det stod föreskrivet att ett bolags räkenskaper och styrelsens förvaltning ska granskas av revisorer. Med tiden har lagarna utökats och blivit fler och berör revision, rådgivning, utredningar etc. De senaste åren har synen på revisionen förändrats dramatiskt. Företagsskandaler runt om i världen är orsaken till detta. Som en följd av skandalerna har revisorernas ifrågasatts för sin roll som försvarare av allmänhetens intresse vilket har lett till en stor debatt. Revisionsprofessionen har ifrågasatts men trots det menar Riksrevisionen att revision har ett betydande värde. Det finns tidigare forskning som visar på vilket värdet revision medför. Vi fann det därför intressant att undersöka vilka värdekomponenter medelstora företag ser med revision.

    Denna studie syftar till att undersöka och öka förståelsen för hur medelstora företag ser på värdet av revision.

    Studien har en kvalitativ ansats och det empiriska underlaget har samlats in genom fem personliga intervjuer. Respondenterna är de olika företagens ekonomi- eller redovisningsansvarige, då det är denne som har den huvudsakliga kontakten med företagets revisor och har därmed mest kunskap om vilka värden revisionen medför.

    Resultatet av studien visar att samtliga av de undersökta företagen anser att revision medför ett värde till företaget. Försäkring, försäkran och kvalitetsstämpel är de värdekomponenter som de undersökta företagen ser som det främsta värdet av en revision. Sammanfattningsvis anser alla de undersökta företagen att värdet med revisionen överstiger dess kostnader, och skulle trots inte någon lagstadgad skyldighet, ändå frivilligt välja att använda revision.

    Aim - The purpose of the study was to identify the context in which consumers are likely to share their personal data in addition to purchases and to find out which factors that affects the consumer regarding trust.

    Background - In recent years, e-commerce has increased as consumption has increasingly shifted from physical stores to e-commerce stores. The use of personal data in commerce has thus changed. E-commerce companies can use data related to personal data in the form of search history, loyalty programs and information about previous purchases. In May 2018, the EU introduced a new legislation, the GDPR, which will secure the processing of personal data. However, there are still shortcomings in consumer knowledge regarding their rights, which makes it difficult to use them.

    Research problem - The main question is: To what extent are consumers likely to share their personal data with e-commerces? The question is divided into three subquestions: What do consumers require in exchange from the companies when they share their personal data? Which factors are crucial to consumer confidence in the companies? What kind of personal data are consumers likely to share?

    Method - The study is based on a primary data collection of quantitative data based on a survey and two qualitative focus group interviews. Secondary data is collected from scientific articles.

    Conclusion - The study showed that the intention to share email addresses is high while intention to share income is low. The customers main reason to share personal data is to receive a discount from the company. In order to share personal data trust in the company is needed, especially trust to the brand and its establishment. All though the result showed that not just one factor independently affects the consumer to share their personal data.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of our study has been to investigate how sport reporters, columnists and managers handle the journalistic ideal and term objectivity in their everyday work. Our interest has been to pinpoint whether our selected sports journalists entitle themselves as reporters, columnists or perhaps both. In the circumstances in which these persons entitle themselves as both sports reporters and columnists, our purpose is to figure out if it is possible for them to maintain the same level of objectivity, that is expected in their work as reporters.

     

    In this study we have collected our material through the use of semi structured interviews with people whom are active in the field we know as sports journalism. During the two week interlude in which the material has been collected we have spoken to seven sport reporters and three heads of sports from tree national, Swedish newspapers and one national news agency. Since objectivity within sports journalism as a subject matter has not been explored thoroughly we have chosen to use common theories regarding journalists approach to objectivity. The theories focus in on objectivity, impartiality, commercialization and subjectivity in order to explain the shift of roles within sports journalism.

     

    The result of our research shows that each individual journalist´s approach to objectivity tend to vary depending on their role and on their employers work procedures. However, they all have some tendencies in common, that caused by the media's digitalisation and commercialisation tend to restrict their objective ability. The most common themes or factors that have shown to determine the level of objectivity in our research are: lack of time, controversial degree, cheering journalism, social media and rewrites of local newspapers. To what extent these factors affect the journalistic formation in these four newspapers depend on their economic prerequisites and relationships of trust.

    Abstract [en]

    "När pengarna rullar in är man motiverad" is a bachelorthesis in Sociology written by Olivia Pettersson and My Andersson. The purpose of the study is to investigate a performance-based reward system and its effects on motivation and perceived job quality, this by doing a case study of a staffing and recruitment company in Stockholm. The study is qualitative and was carried out with the help of thematically open interviews with five employees of a company we have chosen to call LevereraMera. Previous research by Eriksson et al. (2002) and by Schou (1991) show that the salary is of importance for work motivation, but that other factors are more important and that no factor can work in isolation from others. None of these studies choose to include the phenomenon of labor quality and they are of a quantitative nature, which are two motives for this study.

     

    The collected empirical data was analyzed using the theoretical framework, Herzberg’s two-factor theory and Skinner’s reinforcement theory. The results show that the performance-based reward system used at LevereraMera has some positive effect on employee motivation, but it does not function isolated from other, also decisive, factors. It is not possible to discern that the reward system has a direct negative impact on employees' perceived job quality, what is however clear from the study is that the perception of fairness and willingness to cooperate is adversely affected by the current reward system, which can lead to an indirect negative impact on the company's general labor quality.

    Bakgrund: Svenskarna ligger idag i topp på listan över andelen internetanvändare i befolkningen. Hela 94 procent av Sveriges befolkning använder internet och av dem har hela 84 procent någon gång handlat på internet. E-handeln växer så det knakar och det gör att konsumenternas krav på leveransservice ökar. Man kan se det som att leveransservice har utvecklats till ett nytt konkurrensmedel för att kunna överleva på en hårt konkurrensutsatt marknad.

    Syfte och forskningsfrågor: Syftet med studien är att undersöka och analysera svenska ehandelsföretags leveransservice för att bidra till en ökad förståelse för betydelsen av leveransservice. För att uppfylla syftet har följande forskningsfrågor utformats:

    • Hur arbetar utvalda svenska e-handelsföretag med leveransservice som konkurrensmedel?
    • Hur lever utvalda svenska e-handelsföretag upp till konsumenternas krav på leveransservice?

    Metod och tillvägagångssätt: Datainsamling har skett genom två metoder. Utvalda ehandelsföretag har intervjuats i syfte att ta reda på hur de arbetar med leveransservice. Detta har kombinerats med en enkätundersökning där konsumenters förväntan på leveransservice undersökts. Datan har tolkats och analyserats på ett kvalitativt sätt för att skapa en förståelse för ämnet.

    Slutsats: Studien visar att svenska e-handelsföretag lever upp till konsumenternas krav på leveransservice samt att de arbetar kontinuerligt för att fortsätta med detta. Resultatet av studien har bekräftat att leveransservice är ett viktigt konkurrensmedel men att det är svårt för e-handelsföretagen att hitta den optimala nivån att ligga på. I takt med att konsumenternas krav på leveransservice ökar gäller det för företagen att följa denna utveckling och ständigt arbeta med effektiviseringar.

    Software development is a unique business area. The rate of change is higher than in any other market and the products are difficult to visualize before the actual making of the product has begun. The traditional methods of software development have been thought to lack the adjustability that the changing climate require. These methods and models were considered far too static for the software development business and as a response The Agile methods was created.The agile methods are based on flexibility, adjustability and incremental software development. These methods have been widely accepted in the IT and software development business. The most common of this collection of methods is Scrum. Scrum is said to be applicable to any type of project and any type of software development. Despite this, research tells that the method is rarely used as it is described.The purpose of the study was to investigate why a method that is said to fit all types of software development is adapted to the individual organization and how this adaption is done. The result of the study shows that Scrum is adapted by removing certain roles, aspects and elements that are perceived as time-wasting and complicates the maintenance work of existing software. Scrum is often combined with Kanban, another agile method, that fits the purpose of solving critical malfunctions.

    The central question of this thesis is, how has the alternative US media framed the war in Syria? The analytical approach is informed by recent scholarly debate regarding peace journalism and constructive journalism. The framings of the war in Syria have been studied in three alternative US online news sources through a qualitative content analysis. The news sources are Truthout, The Progressive and Common dreams. Results show that these alternative US media has framed the war in line with characteristics of peace journalism and constructive journalism. This tendency departs from how the conflict is regularly framed in mainstream US media. The three studied media have for example promoted diplomatic and peaceful solutions to the war in Syria and tend to give voices to people that are not part of the US political elite.

    Forskningen om barns syn på psykisk ohälsa är knapp och bristen på skalor gör det svårt att generalisera resultat. Därför genomfördes en kvalitativ studie med syfte att undersöka hur 11-åringar upplever psykiskt sjuka, om de har fördomar gentemot människor med psykisk ohälsa och i sådana fall varför. Halvstrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes på svenska 11-åringar från två olika skolor. Deltagarna visade sig ha liten kunskap om psykisk ohälsa. Deltagarna hade vissa stereotyper och fördomar gentemot psykiskt sjuka även om de också visade empati särskilt då de kände någon med psykisk sjukdom. Det talades väldigt lite om psykiska sjukdomar i både skolan och hemmet, även i de fall då familjemedlemmar hade psykiska sjukdomar. Slutsatsen dras att fördomar gentemot människor med psykisk ohälsa finns även hos barn och försök till att förhindra detta bör rikta in sig på att sprida kunskap, öppet kommunicera om psykiska sjukdomar i skolan och vården bör uppmuntra till kommunikation i hemmet då barn diagnostiseras med psykiska sjukdomar.

    The study aims to reach an understanding of how a person with Aspergers syndrom understands himself and his social environment. The number of people diagnosed with Aspergers syndrom are getting higher but the knowledge among the people in the society are not always updated and there are a lot of sterotypes about people with Aspergers syndrom. I am using three book that are written by persons that living with Aspergers syndrom, all three given the diagnos when they were adult. To aim my purpose with this study I choose to use the hermeneutics as method to try to understand how the writers feels about them self and their self-image and what it feels like to be living with Aspergers syndrome. The result of this study shows that persons that has not been diagnosed Aspergers syndrome until their are adult often sees themself as different from a negative perspective when they feel like outsiders, experiencing exclusion and have difficulties to manage the school. Both studies and the social interplay. In the end this might result in decreased possabilitys at the labor market and a self-sufficiency.

    Supportrar är en viktig intressent för fotbollsföreningar. Fotbollssupportrar är konsument av samma produkt som de är medproducent av då de betalar för att gå på fotbollsmatcher samtidigt som de är med och skapar stämningen kring matchen. Svensk fotboll är reglerad av 51%-regeln vilket innebär att föreningens medlemmar också är ägare av föreningen. Denna tredelade roll som supportrarna besitter är en del av komplexiteten i relationen mellan en fotbollsförening och dess supportrar.

    Med bakgrund av tidigare forskning gjord kring Stakeholder Theory har fokus till störst del har varit att identifiera fotbollsföreningars olika intressenter och hur viktiga de är för organisationen. Denna studie kommer endast att fokusera på en intressent i en förening i Sverige med ambitionen att utifrån Stakeholder Theory beskriva relationen mellan en fotbollsförening och dess supportrar, ur båda parters perspektiv, vilket även efterfrågats av tidigare studier inom ämnet.

    En kvalitativ studie har genomförts där empiriskt material samlats in genom semi- strukturerade intervjuer med valda representanter från Djurgården Fotboll samt föreningens supportrar. Det empiriska materialet analyserades utifrån Stakeholder Theory för att sedermera besvara studiens syfte och frågeställning. Resultatet visar att supportrar är den viktigaste intressenten för Djurgården Fotboll och att Stakeholder Theory grundläggande kan ge en förklaring till supportrarnas betydelse som intressentgrupp.

    Never before have we invested so much time and money in our homes as we do today. The increased interest in home interior is partly due to an increased commercialization of home and interior design on social media, and that people nowadays own housing in a greater extent than before. This in turn, has led to the home becoming a place for identity creation and self-realization. In association with social medias development, the blogosphere has become a powerful source of information that has an impact on the consumption. The purpose of this paper was therefore to investigate how the home is represented on social media and how this exposition is linked with consumption and identity creation for blog readers. In this study, has a qualitative methodological approach been applied in the form of a semiotic analysis of blog posts and semistructured interviews. The study has shown that when the blogger shows and distributes ideals of a home, that often symbolizes status, it shapes receivers’ perception of how a home should look. This can further lead them to such symbolism in their consumption. The daily inspiration from the digital sphere can thus contribute to increased consumption, that shapes the identity of individuals and how they want to be perceived by others. However, this consumption is not always clear and often does not occur directly, but may come to the surface later on. Thus, the study shows that the consumption of home interior has become an important tool for the identity of individuals. That is, both how an individual sees himself, but also how the individual wants to be perceived by others. The home has therefore become more than just a place, it has become a clear sign of status.

    Background: The year 2016 Great Britain voted to exit the European Union. This caused uncertainty around many questions, which also included the companies. Moreover, since London is one of the biggest financial centres in the world there are questions about how the financial companies will be affected by Brexit, including FinTech companies. How will they be affected now when Great Britain voted for a Brexit? 

    Purpose: The purpose of this study is to highlight the consequences of Brexit for international Swedish companies and future prerequisites for Swedish FinTech companies in Great Britain. Furthermore, this study aims to investigate which implications or opportunities Brexit has on Swedish companies and FinTech in Stockholm. 

    Method: This is a qualitative case study where several interviews have been conducted with both organisations and companies. Furthermore, the study is inductive to be able to draw conclusions from the interviews.

    Conclusion: There is a risk that Swedish companies move from Great Britain to other countries because of Brexit, however, most companies will probably stay in Great Britain. One of the most important factors that can decide whether the companies move is uncertainty and how deals between Great Britain and European Union unfold. The alternatives if FinTech companies decide to move are financial markets within the EU, but also outside EU where USA, Hong Kong and Singapore are some alternatives. Finally, Stockholm is not the most attractive market for Swedish FinTech companies after Brexit. There are other cities within EU that are more attractive where Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris and to some extent Dublin and Berlin are better alternatives for these companies.

    As there is still limited research on brand equity and brand impact in a high tech industry as the smartphone industry, this study focused on highlighting brand equity and brand relevance in the Swedish smartphone market. The aim was to increase knowledge about the discussion of brand equity from a consumer perspective on the smartphone market by finding out what significance the brand had for the consumers in the purchase of a smartphone and how strong brand equity the brands, Apple, Samsung, HTC, LG and Huawei had in the Swedish smartphone market. To address the research questions, a survey was done as data collection. Questionnaires were distributed to 120 respondents consisting of students in the Stockholm area, from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University and Södertörn University. The survey in question was formed almost entirely out of David A. Aaker's concept of brand equity, which consists of brand awareness, perceived quality, brand associations and brand loyalty. The study found two clusters of smartphone manufacturers with different brand strength based of brand equity. The first cluster consisted of the brands Apple and Samsung, both of which had higher brand equity in relation to the remaining brands. The remaining brands HTC, LG and Huawei formed the second cluster, in which Huawei deviated in a bit in strengthfrom the two aforementioned brands. The study also found that the brand was of high significance for consumers when buying a smartphone.

    Sedan 2012 har UEFA implementerat ett nytt regelverk vid namn Financial Fair Play, där klubblag måste följa denna reglering för att kunna delta i UEFA:s två största turneringar (Champions League och UEFA Europa League). Den större vikten av regleringen har lagts på en regel vid namn break-even rule som innebär att de relevanta kostnaderna inte får överstiga de relevanta intäkterna. Syftet med denna reglering är att förbättra den ekonomiska ställningen inom Europeisk fotboll, samt förbättra konkurrensbalansen i de olika ligorna.   

    Studiens syfte är att undersöka vilken ekonomisk effekt regleringen haft på fotbollsklubbar i den engelska högstaligan. Vidare är syftet att granska hur klubbarna förhållt sig till Financial fair play och hur klubbarna klarat implementeringen, detta för att se om klubbarna har stärkt deras position i hierarkin och hur konkurrensbalansen i ligan har påverkats.

    En analys av ekonomiska rapporter har genomförts för de klubblag som deltagit i den Engelska Premier League säsongerna 2005/2006-2014/2015. Den totala populationen för studien blev 36 lag. En totalundersökning har gjorts där studien använt sig av beräkningar som Herfindahl-Hirschman Index, C5 Ratio och Pearsons korrelationskoefficient.

    Studien har utgått ifrån regleringsteorin public interest theory, den nyinstitutionella teorin med fokus på den tvingande isomorfismen samt contest theory model för att kunna ge svar på studiens frågeställning.

    Det kan konstateras att lagen i Premier League förbättrat deras ekonomiska ställning efter att regleringen sattes i kraft. Break-even kravet har tvingat lag att ta mer hänsyn till ekonomin, detta kan ha i kombination med andra faktorer resulterat i en bättre ekonomisk utveckling. Vidare kan det konstateras att konkurrensbalansen har förbättrats överlag mellan lagen men samtidigt har den försämrats mellan topp fem och resterande, det vill säga konkurrensbalansen mellan lagen under topp fem har förbättrats. Det går dock inte att fastställa om den ekonomiska utvecklingen samt konkurrensbalansen förändring beror just på FFP.

    Abstract [en]

    By applying discourse analysis, the purpose of this essay is to identify how different meanings are assigned to the term “partnership” through competing discourses in the context of global Sustainable Development, with special attention devoted to Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). Using concepts from Laclau and Mouffe’s discourse theory, three main discourses and corresponding nodal points have been identified: globalization, governance and solidarity. These different albeit somewhat overlapping discourses apply different meanings to the term partnership, and also attribute different roles and identities to the public and private sector respectively. Partnerships are constructed as a necessity for solving global issues, an ideal form of governance for sustainable development and as a natural expression for global solidarity. Furthermore, the results point towards a more active role appointed to the private sector, whilst public institutions are assigned a more passive and supportive role.

    Abstract [en]

    Aims: This study compared the level of alcohol mortality in tsarist and contemporary Russia. Methods: Cross-sectional and annual time-series data from 1870 to 1894, 2008 and 2009 on the mortality rate from deaths due to 'drunkenness' were compared for men in the 50 provinces of tsarist 'European Russia': an area that today corresponds with the territory occupied by the Baltic countries, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine and the Russian provinces to the west of the Ural Mountains. Results: In 1870-1894, the male death rate from 'drunkenness' in the Russian provinces (15.9 per 100,000) was much higher than in the non-Russian provinces. However, the rate recorded in Russia in the contemporary period was even higher-23.3. Conclusions: Russia has had high levels of alcohol mortality from at least the late 19th century onwards. While a dangerous drinking pattern and spirits consumption may underpin high alcohol mortality across time, the seemingly much higher levels in the contemporary period seem to be also driven by an unprecedented level of consumption, and also possibly, surrogate alcohol use. This study highlights the urgent need to reduce the level of alcohol consumption among the population in order to reduce high levels of alcohol mortality in contemporary Russia.

    Abstract [en]

    Background and problem: Skatteverket is a government authority where accounting is an essential part of providing a legitimate system and accounting is the starting point for taxation. Digitization has increased rapidly and is one of the most important development force in the society. Because of the importance of the digitalization is the question now how it’s going to affect other authorities and companies. Is digitalization replacing some of the tasks that the human does today? Is the digital development only useful or are there parts that are not as good? This development has led to major changes within Skatteverket, as well as the development of digitization on accounting and that’s why this is interesting to examine.

    Research question: How has Skatteverkets employees been influenced by the development of digitization? And which pros and cons can the employees see within digitization and accounting?

    Purpose: The purpose of this study is to see how Skatteverkets employees have been influenced by the development of digitization, and also to see how their work has been influenced at the accounting. The study should also include the pros and cons of digitization.

    Method: This empirical study consists of semistructured interviews and email interviews with six respondents working at Skatteverket’s headquarters in Solna. What has been discussed with the respondents is how the accounting look today, how digitization has affected them and their future plans for digitization within their industry.

    Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that both Skatteverket and accounting has been affected by the development of digitization. Digitization has contributed with both advantages and disadvantage, you can now report in a more correct way. In the study, it has noted that the digitization is increasing all the time, it is difficult to predict the evolution of digitization. The biggest change for Skatteverket is that you have gone from manual reporting to mechanical report.

    Abstract [en]

    Background: There is a newly founded national sports education program. This newly founded national sports program comprises of several different sports of which football is one of them. Before a football player can reach the European- or national elite the player usually is first developed in clubs and their respective academies where a lot of time is spent on fine tuning the players’ individual skillsets.

    The main goal for the NIU program is to develop future elite athletes to different sports. When it comes to football, the Swedish Football Association and the Swedish school board have together developed a study plan which will serve as a guideline for the NIU-football classes in Sweden. Because of this, it is interesting to get a further insight in the training setup of the youth academies and the involved upper secondary schools.

    Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine football schools and their cooperation with football academies. The purpose is also to examine the potential goals that the different schools have with the academies.

    Methodology: This thesis has a qualitative approach with the authors gathering data with the help of interviews with members of the respective schools and football academies. A document study has also been done in order to further strengthen the empiric data.

    Result: The cooperation between school and academy is incredibly thorough. The academies are in charge of the NIU training-sessions and decide what to train according to their own preferences and goals but stay within the schoolboards theoretic guidelines.

    Undersökningen omfattar apoteksmarknaden och dess regler samt farmaceuterna och deras arbetsmotivation. Syftet med undersökningen var att undersöka hur farmaceuterna upplever att regelverken på apoteksmarknaden påverkar deras arbetsmotivation. Farmaceuterna har idag en begränsad möjlighet till att göra sitt arbete på bästa sätt. Istället är farmaceuterna tvingade till att agera utifrån ett strikt regelverk som inte helt möjliggör en individuell farmaceutisk bedömning.

    Till undersökningen har ett kvalitativt synsätt blivit applicerat för att kunna uppnå syftet samt ge svar på undersökningens frågeställning. Det kvalitativa synsättet hjälpte till med att skapa en uppfattning kring arbetsmotivation hos farmaceuterna. En deduktiv ansats har blivit applicerat då forskarna till undersökningen har utgått från teori. Forskningsmetoden som har använts till undersökningarna för undersökningen var semistrukturerade intervjuer. Totalt genomfördes sju stycken intervjuer med farmaceuter från olika apotek samt ett fackförbund.

    Den teoretiska referensramen presenterar fyra teorier. Dessa är Motivation hos farmaceuter av Rajan och Phil, Herzbergs tvåfaktorteori, Maccobys fyra R och Self Determination Theory (SDT). Dessa fyra teorier är sammankopplade för att presentera den teoretiska referensram som anses vara mest lämplig till att kunna analysera den data som blev insamlad.

    Undersökningens slutsats blev att farmaceuternas arbetsmotivation blir påverkad av de regelverk som finns på apoteksmarknaden till en viss grad. Det är kundernas kunskap om dessa regelverk som påverkar arbetsmotivationen mest på ett negativ t sätt.

    Abstract [en]

    This study aims to give an overview and understanding of how the fashion companies are working with brand building through events. The study also aims to examine and provide a deeper understanding of brands and events as phenomenon. Brands are often used by people to show belonging and economic status, not least in the fashion industry. The impact event has on brands has previously been studied in relation to sporting events, while research in the fashion industry is limited. This despite the fact that the events often occur in the fashion industry. Thereby this paper is written to provide more knowledge in this research gap. A study was conducted based on interviews with several fashion companies and brand experts in Sweden and the USA. The responses from the interviews were later analysed in relation to the chosen theories concerning both the events and brands. The theories that have been used are event marketing, brand value, organizational identity, consumer based brand equity and translation theory. The findings from the study are presented in a model with the key factors emerged as important for a successful event. To answer this paper’s question, the conclusion is presented that events can affect brand building, but how it is strengthen is difficult and resource-demanding to measure. By the end of this paper, the reader will have a greater knowledge and understanding of brands and events, as well as an overview of how these two phenomena are connected.

    Människors uppfattning om sig själva och sin omvärld påverkas mycket av medierna de konsumerar, i synnerhet nyhetsmedier, och nu kanske mer än någonsin genom den ökade tillgängligheten. För personer med delad nationell identitet, till exempel immigranter, kan nyhetskonsumtionen både påverka och påverkas av hur relationen till det nuvarande respektive tidigare hemlandet är och utvecklas. Den här uppsatsen bygger på två jämförande fallstudier, båda bestående av webbenkäter och intervjuer, som kartlägger och jämför användarvanor gällande nyhetskonsumtion bland svenskar bosatta på Island respektive islänningar bosatta i Sverige. För att försöka förstå och förklara vilka faktorer som påverkar användningen av nyhetsmedier har en tredelad modell lånats från tidigare forskning (Wadbring & Andersson, 2016) och aningen modifierad använts som ramverk. Resultaten visar att fördelningen i konsumtion mellan det nuvarande och tidigare hemlandets nyhetsmedier är nästintill identisk för både svenskar på Island och islänningar i Sverige, där det nuvarande hemlandets nyhetsmedier dominerar något. Även gällande olika bakgrundsfaktorer följs de båda urvalsgruppernas nyhetsmedieanvändning åt. Förhoppningen är att uppsatsen ska kunna bidra till en större förståelse för det nuvarande respektive tidigare hemlandets nyheters betydelse för människor med delad nationell identitet.

    Abstract [en]

    For a sample of all 88 counties in the State of Ohio over a 5-year period, this study documents the effect of flagship enterprises and concentrated industrial clusters on regional innovation. Consistent with the agglomeration arguments and the knowledge spillover theory of entrepreneurship, both appear to affect regional innovation positively. Additionally, regional educational attainment positively moderates the effect of industrial clusters on innovation. At the same time, flagship enterprises primarily affect regional innovation in regions with low education levels. Results are obtained with the help of conservative econometric techniques and are robust to the choice of alternative dependent variables and estimators. The findings have major policy implications and provide insights into alternative routes to encouraging regional innovation.

    Abstract [en]

    Previous studies have found that the differences in unemployment between different regions within a country can be large and persist over time. Also among Swedish municipalities the differences in unemployment levels are large. This paper examines if the differences in unemployment levels between Swedish municipalities has increased or decreased between 2008 and 2014 and whether it is possible to find other patterns in the evolution of unemployment rates in Swedish municipalities during the period.

    Two regression analysis of the periods 2008-2010 and 2010-2014 are performed, by using data on unemployment rates and other variables in the municipalities. The results show that it is not possible to prove that the differences in unemployment between the municipalities have increased during the period. However, it can be concluded that the unemployment in 2008-2010 increased more in the municipalities with higher unemployment in 2008, and that the reduction of unemployment in 2010-2014 was bigger in the municipalities that had higher unemployment in 2010. This result remains valid also when controlling for a number of other factors such as the proportion of people employed in the manufacturing industry, net migration from/to the municipality and the residents' age and education level.

    It is not possible to draw any firm conclusions about what the different patterns of change in unemployment is due to. However, several possible explanations to this development is discussed. One possible explanation is that municipalities with a high proportion of workers in industries undergoing structural change has a higher equilibrium unemployment rate and that an accelerated structural change following the financial crisis in 2008 has resulted in a faster increase of unemployment in the following years in these municipalities. Other possible explanations to the faster increase of unemployment in municipalities with high unemployment before 2008 could be less efficient matching on the labour market or higher wage levels.

    This thesis will examine the judicial review of the Swedish institution Lagrådet and the German Constitutional Court, where we will determine and equate the differences and similarities between these institutions. This will be accomplished with various comparisons from a historical and constitutional perspective. Furthermore, this thesis will determine the differences and similarities by comparing these institutions powers and composition to answer the question of whether Sweden needs a constitutional court or if the judicial review Lagrådet performs is sufficient to ensure legal certainty and legitimacy in Swedish society and in the legal system. We will be able to formulate our stance regarding our thesis subject by analyzing the differences and similarities between Lagrådet and the German Constitutional Court

    Professional journalistic culture is a complex of journalistic values, practices, norms and media products. On the one hand it tends to unification across the globe, but on the other hand these cultures varies according to cultural diversities.  Technological development leads to a media convergence, increasing interactivity and plenty of opportunities for individualization of media content influence audience’s demands and consequently challenge of traditional routine of journalists’ work, affect professional practices and even undermine traditional role of a journalist in society. Social media creates new conditions for both actors: readers/viewers/listeners and for media professionals who use it as a tool for media work.  Journalists in the different countries, however, use social media for professional needs not equally. This paper is discussing differences and similarities in the patterns of social media use by Polish, Russian and Swedish journalists.  The research is based on a survey of 500 journalists in each country.

    Abstract [en]

    The people of Sweden have a long history of being engaged in sport organizations. Recently though, a decline of participation in sport organizations has been detected.

    The Swedish society has evolved immensely lately and with it new marketing techniques, new communication tools and new values have seen the light of day. The thesis of this study is to examine how non-profit sport organizations function in the areas of organizational culture, internal communication, consumer surplus and branding.

    The theories have been selected to provide background knowledge in the different functioning areas of an organization and to see how they cooperate in order to make marketing efforts more effective.

    The primary data has been collected with the use of semi structured interviews with representatives from the participating organizations. Additional primary data has been collected in the form of observations of published digital posts from the organizations communicational channels, to complement the data received in the interviews.

    The result shows that the principles of non-profit sports organizations are outdated and therefore differs from the rest of the society. The prevailing culture is one whom focuses primary on performance. This is reflected in their communication where the digital communication is somewhat neglected whilst the verbal forms of communication are highly developed. The only area where the involvement of members is coherent is in the context of performance.

    Abstract [en]

    This study explores paternalism in contemporary data journalism, a hybrid form of journalism where parts of the engineering culture are blended with the culture of journalism. Technologists often question paternalistic elements in design, whereas journalists consider paternalistic decision-making to be justified as an inherent part of what journalism is. Based on a predominately qualitative content analysis of paternalistic elements in 31 data journalistic projects submitted to the Nordic Data Journalism Awards in 2013, 2015 and 2016, three characteristics of paternalism were found: controlling functionality, the illusion of interactivity and linearity. All three characteristics include several types of control over the audience control, embedded in the design, and as previous research has found that paternalism is often associated with negative effects, on the basis of journalistic choices in design and presentation involving technology, the problem is whether the audience begins to perceive data journalism as controlling, non-transparent or intrusive.
