The article describes the process of joint creation of a radio musical by Sparks and Radio Sweden. The driving forces, the mechanisms of cooperation and typologically diversified results of the international collaborative project are presented and analyzed. The article sheds light on the character of interaction of national public service and internationally renowned popular artists, where the media producer catalyzes the creation of a cultural project that reaches out beyond the radio boundaries. The case study raises the issue of professional roles and functions in modern media production.
