The purpose of my empirical study is to see if and how teachers meet the students needs of physical activities in the daily work in the classroom. I also want to explore how different teachers see the connection between the concepts: physical activity and learning. To fulfill the purpose, I have chosen to ask four questions that I will work on in my study.
To get answers to my questions, I have observed and interviewed five teachers. I have compiled and analyzed the results. In my study, I have alternated between empiricism, literature and previous research. The research I have chosen to use is Torkel Klingberg and Ingegerd Ericson (see bibliography), it is about the connection between concentration, physical activity and learning. The results of my study show that there are many ways to work with motor skills exercises and physical activities in the classroom. The study also shows that all teachers do not want the students to move around while they are in the classroom; they rather see that the physical activities are done at the school break and in gymnastics.
