This ethnological study investigates the narratives of torture survivors from Chile who haveresettled in Stockholm, Sweden. Utilizing in-depth interviews, the research examines the waysin which these individuals reconstruct their realities and identities following traumaticexperiences. The study emphasizes the significance of place in shaping their narratives,focusing on the intersections of geography, memory, and political consciousness. By capturingthe complex and multifaceted nature of their experiences, this ethnological inquiry aims toprovide a deeper understanding of the enduring impacts of torture and displacement onindividuals' lives.
