Good relations in the leisure centre : A qualitative study of good teacher-student relations in the leisure centre (English)
Abstract [en]

This independent work aims to research the creation of relationships between teachers and students in the leisure centres. To get a concrete area of research, four leisure teachers at two different schools will be interviewed. The schools are located in different areas with different socioeconomic conditions. Through the interviews, the leisure teachers’ personal interpretation of a good relationship, their different strategies for creating good relationships, and how the relationship is favorable for the students, are to be examined. This is to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of the subject, which includes relationship-building processes at leisure centres. 

This will be studied to see how staff att leisure centre establishments talk about relationships and relationship-building processes. They all talk about building trust, security and care. These are also theoretical concepts by Jonas Aspelin. The results clearly show all respondents are familiar with the importance of good relations with students. 

Abstract [sv]

Det som kommer att undersökas i detta självständiga arbete är relationsskapandet mellan lärare och elever i fritidshemmets verksamhet. För att få ett konkret undersökningsområde så kommer fyra fritidslärare på två olika skolor att intervjuas. Skolorna ligger i skilda områden med olika socioekonomiska förhållanden. Genom intervjuerna, undersöks fritidslärarnas personliga tolkning av en god relation, deras olika strategier för att skapa goda relationer, samt hur relationen är gynnsam för eleverna. Detta för att få djupare förståelse och kunskap kring ämnet som omfattar relationsskapande processer på fritidshem. 

Arbetet syftar till att se hur personal på fritidshemsverksamheter pratar om relationer och relationsskapande processer. Samtliga talar om att bygga upp förtroende, trygghet och omsorg. Dessa är även teoretiska koncept av Jonas Aspelin. I resultaten framkommer det tydligt att samtliga respondenter är bekanta med vikten av goda relationer med eleverna.
