Abstract [en]

Background: The gender equality issue has been on the agenda for many years and a problem in Swedish sport. Historically, football has been dominated by men, but in recent years the sport has begun to work actively towards a more equal sport. In 2011-2017, RF formulated its most recent gender equality work with different goals, one of which was that both sexes should be represented by 40% on all levels in organizations, but in spite of extensive governance documents, there have been few improvements.

Aim: The purpose of this survey is to convey an understanding of how gender equality documents are implemented. How they are implemented in Swedish football and how IF Brommapojkarna as an association actively work with the directives.

Method: A qualitative survey based on semi-structured interviews.

Conclusion: After completing the survey, we believe that curriculum theory can be applied to the sports movement. Communication between the different bodies is based on the same basic idea, but there are several factors that influence and control. Unlike curriculum theory based on the world of school, it differs in all arenas as sport is based on volunteering.
