Abstract [en]

Stress and stressrelated diseases are far more common today than ever. As a phenomena, how does this manifest itself in a cultural sense? This study aims to seek out the relationship to stress through the experience of the individual. To find answers in how individuals cope with stress throughout their everyday life.

Seven individual experiences throughout seven semistructured deepinterviews provides the foundation of knowledge given to this study in their testimony. Also in the quest for knowledge, the clue paradigm impregnates the scientific analytic approach.

What their testimonies point out is that there exists a stigma around inactivation and also an encouragement around efficiency and maximation of experiences. The defining terms around stress circuit around a discourse to encourage your ego and a discourse around obligation. Together in combination with an unsynchronized perception of time in relation to existing material conditions, preserves and maintains the conditions of stress.
