Abstract [en]
In this chapter, the phenomenon of racial profiling is explored, offering challenging questions regarding the role of the police in current society. Problems with over-policing and under-protection of racialized groups in Sweden are discussed in relation to matters of structural racism and discrimination. By engaging with the role of the police as providers of (in)security, we are better able to understand the different forms of violence that people are subjected to.
